OMG- The Bachelorette- Part 2

Okay, there was more drama for your Momma in this episode then in the entire Bachelorette history, I swear! I think my blood pressure may have even went up because I was so nervous and sick to my stomach (yeah, I'm weird).

First a few quotes from Jillian's mouth:

"Maybe I'm just in La La Land." YES JILL, YOU ARE!

"It was all banana's" Yep, you keeping WES is BANANA's!!!!!

And Jillian your squealing is getting down right annoying! (my own quote)

The good things about tonight's episode:

The hometown dates were awesome (except for Wes's but I'm just not even counting him anymore!)

I loved all the families and that is rare for the hometown dates, usually you get some strange ones, but everyone seemed very cool and down to earth and NORMAL! Well, except for maybe Kyptin's Mom, but she wasn't too bad.

Jake came back to tell Jillian the dirt on Wes, which I actually thought was pretty commendable, even though she didn't listen. (again, Jill, you are going to kick yourself later) I would want someone to tell me, but it looks like you need to learn the hard way.

And the BEST thing that happened tonight.........

MY BOY ED CAME BACK!!!! ( I must say it helps that he shares the name of another fabulous boy- Edward Cullen) :)

The bad things about tonight's episode:

Jillian sent Michael home instead of WES!!!

Michael- you are so darn cute and funny and your family seemed fabulous! Some girl is really going to be so lucky to be with you! I wanted to cry right along with you tonight and the things you said about Jillian were so sweet. But don't you worry, you are going to have some fabulous girls knocking on your door. I guarantee it!

And the biggest downer of them all- WES is still around for at least one more episode. BARF! I don't even want to give him the time of day to write about him. I am just going to say that I hope his CD flops and that he never makes it in Nashville.

I did also feel bad that Jesse went home, but I knew he would most likely be packing his bags tonight so that wasn't a huge shocker.

Thank goodness Ed is back!!!!

And that is my two cents!

RIP Michael Jackson

Thriller was my very first album.

And I still rock out to Billie Jean!

It makes me sad that he seemed so unhappy in his own skin, but he sure was a very talented man. I hope that now he is in peace.

RIP Michael....

Extreme Makeover: Me Edition

It's that time again, EM:ME, if you want to join in, or read about other bloggers EM:ME posts, head over to Amber's blog at: aefilkins

This weeks questions is:

"Who is your biggest supporter/motivator in your weight loss? Do you have anyone around you that tries to sabotage you by "talking" you in to eating the not so good stuff?"

This question is easy for me, and the answer is:

ME!

I am my biggest supporter and also the one that likes to sabotage myself. Weird, but true. I know what to eat, how to exercise etc. but I also love food and not because I am trying to use it to cover something up in my past or anything like that. I just love the taste of food, I love getting together with friends and going out to eat, I love everything about it, and I also DO NOT have that thing in my brain that says, "hello, you're stuffed, quit eating." No I don't have that, so when I am stuffed I can still continue to eat until I practically need a stretcher to carry me out.

Luckily right now I am being my biggest supporter because I am sick of my sabotaging self (no, I do not have multiple personalities!) :)

Today is Day 7 of the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (I take weekends off) and also day 9 of getting up at 6 a.m. (and day 9 of the Love Dare.)

Surprisingly, it is getting easier to get up at 6:00 a.m. and even though I have been sick (which I blame on my new early rising ways) I do feel much better getting the most important things of my day done first thing in the morning (Bible study and exercising) plus I think my Husband likes me getting up at the same time as him and sending him off to work.

I think they say it takes 30 days or something like that to start a habit, so I have aboat (in my best Canadian, Jillian from the Bachelorette accent!) 20 more days to go until this is all a habit and second nature.

Wish me luck! ;)

OMG- The Bachelorette

Seriously, I have no words......

WHAT IS SHE THINKING?????

Don't get me wrong, I still like some of the guys that are there, but come on all ready.

WES- HAS GOT TO GO! If she doesn't send him home next week I swear to you that I will boycott this show and this will be my last blog on the Bachelorette. (I have said this before, but somehow I always get sucked back in.) I was horrified that no one pulled her aside to tell her everything about Wes, but was so happy to see Jake in the previews for next week, coming back to tell her. He is doing the right thing, and I'm sorry Jill, but you let the wrong one go home! Jake is a stellar guy and he is going to make one woman VERY HAPPY!

To me Jillian didn't seem really into anyone on last nights episode, I really think she was totally into Ed, and I am still keeping my fingers crossed that he may just come back. (wishful thinking, but a girl can hope!)

The one thing that Jillian did do right was send Tanner home, FINALLY!!! Sorry Tanner, but you really creaped me out with the whole foot fetish thing.

And can I just say that I am so looking forward to the reunion show. What is Wes going to do when they show a video montage of him stating on camera that he is only there for the air time to promote his music career. BARF! And his quote from last nights episode that he has Jillian wrapped around his finger. Pa leeeeeeaaaasssseee!

  • Being on the Bachelorette: priceless
  • Having 30 guys swoon after you for weeks: priceless
  • Letting ABC foot the bill for fabulous dates and trips around the world, not just on one show, but two: priceless.
  • Seeing Jillian's face when she watches Wes's video montage at the reunion show and hearing his Lame -o excuses as to why he said and did what he did: I'd pay $100 bucks!

Have a fabulous day! :)

Flip Flop Exchange

I have entered a Flip Flop Exchange over at The Texas Darlings and it sounds like so much fun. I can't wait! If you are interested go check out her blog asap because I believe you have until the Sunday June 21st to enter.

I was a little nervous about this. One because I am giving my name and address to a complete stranger (Sara at Domestically Challenged will totally be thinking about axe murderers right now, and I have to say that did cross my mind, so Sara I am leaving you in charge, if you don't see me around blog world, start investigating!)

And two, because I can only wear these type of flip flops (anything fabric, doesn't matter the brand).

And I can't wear these type of flip flops (rubber or plastic, doesn't matter the brand) because they give me TERRIBLE blisters. I wish this wasn't the case, because I think some are so gosh darn cute.

But I decided to take the chance anyway and see what happens. I think just the experience alone is going to be fun (as long as I am not killed by an axe murderer.) And I am excited to see who I am paired with and even more excited to go find cute flippity flops for them.

Now on to a totally DIFFERENT topic!

- I finished reading the book, 'My Sisters Keeper' last night and........ I. CRIED. LIKE. A. BIG. BABY. I finished reading the last few chapters at the dinner table where I was playing cards with my husband, my Mom and my Sister. Let's just say, they were like, "what is WRONG WITH YOU!" because I was crying so much. Now I knew this book was going to be sad. I cried over the stinkin movie trailer, but I was not expecting the book to be as sad as it was, I mean seriously, SO SAD!!!!! I highly suggest the book, and if you are not going to read the book, go see the movie (I haven't seen it yet, but I am assuming it will be really good, I think it comes out June 26th in theaters) and have an ENTIRE box of Kleenex handy!

Have a FABULOUS day!

Day 3

Today is day #3 of:
  • Waking up at 6:00 a.m.
  • Doing my Bible Study - Currently Day 3 of the Love Dare - from the movie Fireproof (won this from my blogging friend Tanya at Miller Racing Family!
  • Doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred.

I have learned three things:

  • That I am still not a morning person. Even though I have been getting up at 6:00 a.m. I am tired all day. It is 10:20 a.m. and I could go to sleep right now. I am hoping this will get easier as each day passes.
  • That I am LOVING the Love Dare, it is only day three but I am already seeing the benefits of it.
  • That Jillian Michaels is KICKING MY BUTT! I am so out of shape. The 30 day shred is only 20 mins. but I am sweating so bad when I am done and I am so sore that I can barely pick up my water glass (my fabulous Starbucks tumbler) because my arms are so sore, and when I am sitting and go to stand up, I can barely get up because my legs are so sore and this also goes for sitting back down. (this makes it very difficult to go to the bathroom every 15 mins. because I am drinking so much water these days) whew! I am thinking I am going to make the 30 day shred into a 3 month shred and do each level for 1 month because I am only on level 1 and I can't see myself going to level 2 anytime soon, let alone level 3. LOL.

Bachelorette Recap- Goodbye Ed (for now!)

So DISH TV FINALLY got channel 2 back (abc) (for like a year we were without and I was watching the Bachelorette online as soon as they posted it) and I thought my DVR was set up to record, but it didn't and I got home at 9:30 p.m. so I caught the last half hour. The part where ED has to tell her he is leaving.

:( :( :( :(
(that is me crying A LOT!)

I knew it was going to happen because I am way to obsessed with the message boards. Pretty much if you want to find out what is going to happen you can read them and know what the future is going to hold for Jillian. But as predicted (even though I was secretly hoping they were wrong) Ed left. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be the last we see of him. I totally understand why he left, I wouldn't want to lose my job either, especially in today's economy, but I am sad for Jill.

I didn't see the beginning of the show (I'll watch tomorrow online, and read all of my blogging buddies posts to see what I missed) but I think most of it will be how it has been week after week.

I still can't stand WES, and next week I am going to dislike him even more. I think if I were Jillian, I would have made it part of my contract with ABC that they had to tell me if any of the guys were there for the wrong reasons. Also, Jillian is going to hate herself when she watches the playbacks of the show, Wes is making her look like a fool.

WORDS OF WISDOM TO FUTURE BACHELORETTES:
if one of the guys is an actor or singer, they are NOT there for YOU. Haven't we already seen this in previous seasons? You'd think they would learn.

Okay, I'll stop rambling. Until next week! ;)

Friend Makin Mondays- Confessions

It's FRIEND MAKIN MONDAY!!!! To check out all of the other bloggers Confessions or to join Friend Making Monday, go check out Kasey's blog over at All That Is Good.

Today's task is CONFESSIONS! Spill your guts! :) I am pretty much an open book, but I'll see if I can come up with a few.

1. I apologize WAY too much, to the point where it can be annoying, and I apologize for things that I may not have even done wrong. I would sometimes as a kid growing up, even get in trouble for always saying I'm sorry, and then I'd say I'm sorry for saying I'm sorry. (see my point! :) Not always a good thing.)

2. I cry WAY to easily. I swear to you, I think I have sprinklers behind my eyeballs. I can cry to commercials, books, So You Think You Can Dance, you name it, if it is happy or sad, I can cry to to it.

3. I am a hypochondriac, and tend to over react at most things. Especially when it comes to my nieces and nephews. If they have a bump or complain of something hurting, I nag my sister and sister-n-law about making sure they get it checked out by a doctor until they are ready to kill me. I do this all out of love because I care so much about them, but I can see why they get annoyed with it.

4. I ate so much sugar this weekend that I am surprised I didn't go into a diabetic coma, and I'm not even diabetic (yet).

5. Most of the time I am blogging when I should be working on other things. :)

6. I am a night owl, but trying desperately to become a morning person. Today I got up at 6:30 a.m. to do my Bible Study and it was so nice to start my day with this. (Today was day 1. Days left; the rest of my life!)

7. I love all Reality Shows. Well, I take that back, there have been a few on like VH1 that I haven't liked (flavor flave!)

8. I sometimes work all day long in my pajama's. Not always a good thing. ;)

Becoming a Canner!

I had my first experience with canning on Tuesday. I have a neighbor who I walk with weekly and she is a canning machine. So she is going to teach me everything I don't know about canning. (which right now, is very little, actually I know nothing!- about canning that is.)

I started off pretty easy (at least I thought so).

On my way home from Yakima, we stopped at a fruit/veggie stand and I bought 20 lbs. of asparagus for $16.99 (that's .85 cents a lb.) pretty good deal!

And the canning began.

We filled each jar with a HUGE clove of garlic, one tsp. of dill weed, one tsp. of red pepper flakes, asparagus, brine (which consisted of 4 cups vinegar, 4 cups water, and I think 1/2 cup of canning salt). And then gave them a water bath (basically let water boil over the closed and sealed jars for 10 min.) and then they were done. Pretty simple! I think I like canning...

The finished product!

Next I will be canning peaches, tuna (which I am the most excited about), stewed tomatoes and pepper jelly. :)

Girls Weekend- Yakima, WA Wine Country

Last weekend I had a girls weekend. It was such a GREAT time. We went wine tasting, which I had never been before, and it was so much fun. It was just nice to be with the girls and chat about girly things which is probably my most favorite thing to do. I had never been wine tasting before, and although I do like wine, I don't drink it very often because I would prefer to eat my calories instead of drink them. I am a 100% water girl. :) I did buy a few bottles of wine from the wineries, two dessert wines that I am SO excited about, one is called 'Twilight Harvest' (which I HAD to buy because it said 'Twilight'- I heart Edward Cullen) and they said to marinate raspberries in it and pour over vanilla ice-cream- YUM! Can't wait to try that. And the other port wine you pair with Chocolate, like brownies. Who wouldn't want that?! The weather was also beautiful that day, and we got in our chauffeured limo (or mini-van, same thing!) :) and then headed out to 5 different wineries. We came back to the hotel where I was given the DL (down low) on Bravo's hit reality show, The Real Housewives of New Jersey. (I had never seen it before, but it is a fave amongst all the girls, and they happened to have a marathon on.) We napped, relaxed, then headed to a FABULOUS Mexican Restaurant for a great meal and then bed. What a wonderful weekend. Thanks girls! :)

All us girls at Bonair Winery (I won't tell you what we called it all day) ;)

soon these will be mini wine grapes

Bachelorette Recap

As I mentioned earlier, I have a lot to write about and I am a day late in my Bachelorette recap, so I'll start off with a quick update on my thoughts in regards to the guys, because I am SURE that Jillian reads my posts and decides on who she is going to choose because of what I say. LOL- she did send David and Juan home- FINALLY- but for some reason she still has foot fetish Tanner around (I think because she wants to get the skinny on who has a GF back home, which HELLO- WES- I think we would all know this even if Tanner didn't spill the beans. But maybe by some slim margin it's someone else.)

But....... Something B.I.G. happens next week. According to Chris Harrison, something unlike anything else that has ever happened on Bachelor/Bachelorette history. Drama, Drama, Drama. :)

Okay, so the episode was kind of boring for me. It didn't really get into it until towards the end. I still love Ed, Jake and I am starting to kind of like Kiptyn- not that I hated him or anything, but I just don't see him with Jill, but I think he'll make it pretty far, and Robby is a cutie pie.

Mark- Where did he come from? I didn't even recognize him at all with the scruff he had on his face (he shaved before his date with Jill) and I couldn't even remember him from the other episodes. I thought for sure she would send him and Mike home together and not give either a rose, but I don't see him sticking around much longer.

Michael- I think I have said this every week, you are HILARIOUS (I hope the rumors are not true! I read WAY to many blogs and message boards about this show).

Reid- I can't get past the fact that you look EXACTLY like Chandler (Matthew Perry), especially with the glasses, and I'm not really feeling it with you and Jillian.

Jesse- You made some progress in Monday nights show, but yours and Jill's kiss didn't do it for me, I thought she looked like she was pulling away from you when you were kissing, maybe it was just me.

Tanner P.- Okay, so I'm not even going to say that what I'm about to write is a spoiler, because it's not really about the show but about his life. On the message boards and other entertainment blogs they are stating that Tanner P. is a single Dad. I am NOT saying that this is true, because I really don't know, and the guy kinda really creeps me out with his whole foot fetish thing, but I do have to give him props if it is true, and hopefully he is a really good Dad.

One of my favorite blogs to read about the show is by a guy named Reality Steve. He somehow gets insider information, but doesn't usually write about it until the show progresses. He knew about the Molly/Melissa incident last season way before it came out. If you want to check out what he has to say about the bachelorette check him out at: http://realitysteve.com/blog/?s=jillian+harris.

PS- I think Jillian is a doll, but has anyone noticed that she squeals every time she see's one of the guys for her dates? and numerous other times in the show? It kind of drives me bonkers.

Have a Fabulous Wednesday!!!

quick update

I just wanted to write a quick post to let all of my blogging buddies know that I have been out of town, but back today and I have A LOT to blog about (Bachelorette, my girls weekend, canning) and I need to go visit all the posts I have missed. I am super busy at work today, but will try to catch up this evening. Can't wait to catch up on all of your blogs! :)

Starbucks- I LOVE YOU (but not for your coffee!)

So I have to share my most favorite new purchase! I am not even a coffee drinker, but I am a sucker for good marketing. I bought this reusable (but looks like a throw away) plastic cup from Starbucks. I LOVE IT!!!!! And by LOVE I mean, it is like a new member of my family, it goes with me everywhere, it fits perfect in my car cup holder too! And call me crazy, but I actually have been drinking more water because of it too. Normally I drink about 4 pint glasses of water daily, with my new Venti Tumbler, I have been sucking down about 6 full glasses a day, that equals out to about 96 ounces a day! (let's just say, I go to the bathroom about ever 15 mins.) I never used to drink out of a straw (because I am SUPER paranoid about getting the sucking wrinkles around my lips, like when someone puckers- I know I'm a freak!) but I use the straw in this cup (off to the side and I don't pucker to avoid those wrinkles-LOL- but true) and I think the straw is what is making me drink more. I know it's all mental, but it really is working. So, I guess my whole point to this post is, this cup is SO WORTH the money. Have a FABULOUS Thursday! :)

Bachelorette Recap- The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!

hehehe, I couldn't resist on the title, if you watched the show you totally know where I stole it from. :)

So this post is going to be about all the boys who made an impression, whether it be a GOOD one, or a BAD one!

Lets start with the B.A.D.!

  • OMG, Tanner P. HAS. GOT. TO. GO! Can I say that loud enough? The foot fetish has been taken way too far, and I threw up in my mouth a little every time he talked about sucking on her toes. EWWWWWWWWW. (Jillian, send him home already!)

  • David- I am ashamed to say that I even liked you on the first episode, your mouth is disgusting. There is no need or reason to ever have to swear that much, and yes, I too, do not like Juan or think he is a good match for Jillian, but come on already, lay off the guy and let Jillian see it for herself. Fortunately from the previews, it looks like you make an even bigger fool of yourself next week and then I think we will be saying bye bye to you my friend.

  • Juan- something about you just really bugs me. I guess I just like men to be masculine and there is some kind of feminine quality you have that really bothers me. I also think you are trying way to hard and the times you are with Jillian don't seem natural, but almost rehearsed. I don't think you deserve being treated badly by David, but I do agree that you need to go, sooner rather then later!

  • Wes- Okay, so you have a nice voice and you can play the guitar. I too have been wooed by a singing, guitar playing, want-to-be musician, it can be quite mesmerizing, but seriously, that is all it is. I hope that Jillian wakes up soon, because truthfully I don't think you are in it for her, and you two will never work. I am looking forward to the day you do not get a rose. Unfortunately I think it won't be for awhile because lucky for you, she needs to weed out some pretty bad guys first.

  • Brad- needed to go, and he did!

Now to the G.O.O.D!

  • Michael- You are still HILARIOUS! and I am glad you are still around, again, I don't think you are the right one for Jillian, but you seem super cool and a very nice. You would be the perfect guy best friend: lots of fun, good looking, good dancer. :)

  • Robby- You came out of the wood work for me today. Nice move on the set! :) I think you are super sweet. Glad you are still around.

  • And I saved the best for last- ED! You are my front runner. Last week, I talked about how I felt you were under the radar and that I had a sneaky suspicion you would make it to the end. This week confirmed it for me. If you are not in the final three I will be SHOCKED, and I will be ecstatic if you are the last one standing. I think you are genuine, sweet, super good looking (beautiful teeth), and you know how to eat the right way with utensil's (something I learned on my reality show during our etiquette training on American Princess). I can't wait for you and Jillian to spend more time together (and I hope you don't make me regret anything I just said!) :)

The rest of the beau's that I have not mentioned have not made an impression on me either way. So we'll see how they do in the coming weeks.

Next week looks FABULOUS!!!! Lots of Drama, can't wait until the rose ceremony~ :)
