A Few Things I Know...

My Church has a website and sometimes my Pastor will post a blog about, "A few things I know" I always like to read them, and it gets me thinking about the few things I know. So today I am stealing his idea and posting it on my own blog. So here you have it, the deep thoughts of lil ol ME!

A Few Things I know...... (This week)

I know that loving someone so much, but hating their sin is hard, and when you fight everyday for them, but they never know and may never know is even harder.

I know that when I feel most alone, I draw closer to God.

I know that what I want and what God wants, may be two different things.

I know that doing the right thing, and what I feel God would want me to do, is not always accepted by the people around me.

I know that I have some very special friends that would do anything for me. You know who you are, thank you for always being there for me.

I know that I want a baby more then I could ever express to anyone in words...

I know that seeing my nieces and nephews happy, makes me happy.

I know that people gossip, but when they try to justify it or make excuses for it, or try to say it isn't gossip, or apologize for it but continue to gossip, it makes me angry. If you can't stop gossiping then stop talking. (Watch Reality Shows and talk about that with your friends, it's way more fun and doesn't hurt anyone in the process!)

I know that my Grandmother is as close to perfect as anyone I have ever met and I have so much to learn from her.

I know that I have a wonderful job and a fabulous boss that I am so thankful for.

I know that I am not perfect and that I sin everyday, but I hope that people around me will forgive me for it.

I know that this list is getting long so I will end all of ya'll's misery. (and nope I am not even from the South or a Country girl- even though I live in the country- I just wanted to say "ya'll" because it's kind of fun!)

I hope you all (ya'll) have a fabulous day!

What are a few things that you know? Maybe if you think its an interesting enough topic I will make it a weekly post and set up a Mr. Linky to read all of the things you know! Because I'm guessing I'm not the only know it all! hehe ♥

I am.... procrastinating with my housework.
I think.... about vacations, especially the secret destination vacation that my Aunt and I are planning.
I should... be cleaning.
I dream.... way too often and they are much to real for my liking.
I want.... a baby more then I can express in words.
I know... that one day I will be with Jesus.
I don't like.... my house being dirty.
I smell... coffee.
I hear.... birds chirping outside.
I fear.... flying, but don't let it stop me from travelling.
I usually... sleep 8 hrs. a night.
I search... for good deals on the Internet.
I miss.... my dog Abby :( she is still missing. It's been one week today.
I always... brush and floss my teeth.
I regret.... losing touch with old friends.
I wonder.... when my prayers will be answered (two major ones).
I crave.... I haven't really been craving much, I am reading a knew book called "Lose It For Life" and it has changed my entire way of thinking.
I remember... so many fun moments in my life.
I need..... Cargo Blu-Ray pressed powder and I can't find it anywhere!
I forget.... where I put my car keys often.
I feel.... anxious a lot of the time, has gotten so much worse this past year.
I can.... be creative when I want to be.
I can't.... play the piano, always wish I could have learned.
I am happy.... when I have my nieces and nephews with me.

My Theme Song...

Sometimes, when I have no words left to speak, I just sing to God and worship Him.

And, there are certain songs that say exactly what my heart feels, at an exact moment in my life.

Right now, this song is one of them. Every.single.word. goes right to the core of my being.

At this very moment, this song, these words, are the theme song of my life.

And I believe.......

"I Believe In Love" Barlow Girls

How long will my prayers seem unanswered?
Is there still faith in me to reach the end?
I'm feeling doubt I'm losing faith
But giving up would cost me everything
So I'll stand in the pain and silence
And I'll speak to the dark night

I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe

Though I can't see my stories ending
That doesn't mean the dark night has no end
It's only here that I find faith
And learn to trust the one who writes my days
So I'll stand in the pain and silence
And I'll speak to the dark night

I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe

No dark can consume Light
No death greater than this life
We are not forgotten
Hope is found when we say
Even when He is silent

I believe in the sun even when it's not shining
I believe in love even when I don't feel it
And I believe in God even when He is silent
And I, I believe.

When half of my brain says "be smart" and the other half says "be foolish"

So I am desperately trying to talk myself into going here:

Instead of eating these: (specifically the Samoas, Tagalongs and Thin Mints- frozen of course)
And did I tell you that I SCORED on these?!

$7.99 a piece from J.Crew.com- They were on sale for $9.99 and then 20% off with an online coupon. I also got matching bottoms for each at the same price. Don't ask me how, I really don't know because when I check the site today they are no longer this price, maybe it was a computer glitch, but it worked, and the black top came today and the Papaya one (which looks more like an orange color then pink because I got the bottoms today, but I won't complain for 8 bucks) is on it's way via my favorite uniformed man in Brown!
Now to finish work and head to the gym! (you didn't really think I was going to eat all the girl scout cookies did you? I'm limiting myself to two a day! Do you know how many calories are in just two??? SCARY!!!)

Have a fabulous Wednesday!
PS- those are swimsuit tops in case anyone couldn't tell.

I am alive!

So I have been a terrible, terrible blogger! I can not even count how many times I have started a blog post, just to delete it because it wasn't exactly what I wanted to say.

I watched Julie and Julia for the first time the other day and she inspired me so much. I truly do not know how she did it, write every day for an entire year straight and on top of all of that conquer all of those difficult recipes. I decided that she must not have slept!

And then it got me thinking about my own blog, and not just my blog but about all kinds of things, like goals I set for myself etc. How many goals do I set that I never actually finish? more times then not, most of them! Why is that?

What I have been doing in the month since I've blogged is trying to get back on track with my workouts and getting very creative with my Cricut! I finally figured out how to use it!

I have been making name banners, cupcake toppers and favor tags. They are so cute, but so time consuming. (I will put up pictures soon, just don't have time to download the pic's from my camera today.)

I've also been keeping up on my favorite reality tv shows. The bachelor - kind of boring me- might be because I have known who was going to win since week 2- I am one of those people who gets on line and reads the spoilers before the end of the show-I can't help it, I get anxiety and knowing the outcome helps lessen that anxiety. :) And super disappointed that Ali is going to be the next Bachelorette! I liked her in the beginning of the show, but she went down hill fast for me- We'll see how I feel once she is the Bachelorette. Survivor- MY FAVORITE!!! Love having all my favorites back including Russell- whom I personally think is the best player that they have ever had on the show- I typically don't like "villains" but he just plays the game so well that I can't help but like him. And Boston Rob, what can I say?! LOVE HIM- and have from the very beginning. So glad that Sugar got sent home last week, she annoyed me. Amazing Race- so excited that my favorite reality TV couple from Big Brother -Jeff and Jordan- are competing on the Amazing race this season. Project Runway- I heart this show so much!

And.... It is sunny in Oregon today! I have really missed the nice weather. I'm getting excited for Summer.

A huge thank you to my good friend Tanya at Miller Racing Family for sending me a fabulous Gooseberry Calendar and photo book. If you haven't met Tanya she is fabulous go check her out!

Have a FABULOUS Thursday!!!

So......

Previously I had thought that I of course loved Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, but could I like him playing any other roles? And...... (gasp) see him in roles with other ladies??? I know that might seem strange, but I am a tad obsessed with the Twilight series.

But......

I think my mind has been changed. I went and watched the movie Up In The Air on Monday which happens to star (George 'beautiful' Clooney) & Anna Kendrick (who plays Jessica in the Twilight Saga) (which I might add that she plays the best HS student ever!)

Anyhoo, this post has NOTHING to do with that movie, except for during the 'mini movies' (what I like to call the previews) they showed a clip of Robert Pattinson's new movie: Remember Me.

It looks good, really good, and he looks good, even without being Edward Cullen. I am excited to see it when it comes out March 12th!

Bring It On

2010

I have super high hopes for you!

And I have a lot to accomplish in 12 short, goes by in the blink of an eye, months.

I need to get healthy..... so cliche, but oh so true for me this year. I have a ton of weight to lose, almost an entire little person, maybe even a 10 year old. I will be getting back into my size 5 jeans. And hubby happened to hear me talking about losing the much needed lbs (that I happened to gain after I married him *wink) and said that if I lose the weight he'll take me to Hawaii, which I have been dying to go back since my trip in 2006.

Maui I see you in my future, say January 2011!

I also want to get crafty this year. I am always a little crafty, but I want to push the limits this year. I broke down and bought a cricut the day after Thanksgiving, not even sure what it was for, but bought it because it was a good deal and was told they never go on sale. And I'm a sucker for a good deal! So very slowly I am learning how to use it.

I want to take a photography class so I can figure out how to use my SLR camera that my hubby bought for me last year at Christmas.

I have a HUGE passion for singing and I am part of the music ministry at my church and I want God to use me in ways I have never been used before. So excited to see growth in this area of my life this year.

And most importantly I want to become a Mommy. Some of you know the struggles that I have had in this area of my life, and I haven't really talked about it on my blog because it just seems so personal to me, but you may hear me opening up about it more. I don't know why it is so hard for me to talk about it in this blog, but it has always made me a little nervous and when I've thought about blogging about it before, I just felt like I would be so exposed, and vulnerable, it just made me anxious.

But.... I have met some amazing women bloggers who are going through the same types of fertility struggles that I am and they have inspired me, just reading their struggles, sadness, happiness, has really helped me in my own journey and if I can be that type of inspiration to someone else I want to be that too.

So 2010, I say bring it on!

PS- also super excited for the Bachelor to start so I can laugh at all the crazy chicks acting insane on t.v. *wink* and Survivor Villains vs Heroes. woot woot! And of course I won't forget that Eclipse is premiering in 6 short months and I bought the most fabulous Team Edward t-shirt on sale for 9 bucks! ;)

Happy New Year!
