I'm a winner!

I promise this will be my last Twilight Saga post I write, until of course it gets closer to the Eclipse premier, but I had to give HUGE props and an overdue THANK YOU to my good friend in blog land, (and hopefully one day in real life) JennyKate!

JennyKate is a lover of all things Twilight as many of us are, and she had a fabulous premier party for New Moon and an even more fabulous giveaway which I happened to win! :) I so wish I could have been at her premier party, but I did feel like I was their in spirit and part of my winnings were an awesome little grab bag from her party filled with hand warmers (gotta keep our hands warm from the icy temps of Edwards skin *wink) yummy chocolates and Twilight Junkie tissues- all fabulous!

Not only did Jenny Kate also send me some very cool magazines, but she also book marked the best pictures of Edward and Bella :) And let's just say I have been listening to the soundtrack non-stop!

JennyKate, I think you are FABULOUS!!! Thank you so much for the awesome giveaway and all things TWILIGHT!!! :) Love you girl!

My Christmas Music List!

Since I decorated for Christmas a few weeks ago.... I thought I'd put up a playlist of some of my favorite Christmas songs just a few days early.... (see player on the right.)

One of my all time favorite Christmas songs is 'Last Christmas' by Wham. I worked in a retail store when I was 16 and every time it came on during the Christmas season I would get all giddy. Now when I hear it, I still love it, but it brings back a whole different set of memories.

Going back about 7 yrs. ago, I had just transferred to a new role within the same company I am still working for and it was about two weeks before Christmas. They already had a Christmas dinner planned and were so kind enough to invite the new kid on the block (I wasn't new to the company, but brand new to this center).

They said I could bring a date, and since I was newly single I brought a gal pal along with me because I knew NO ONE who was going to be at this Christmas party.

We were also asked to bring a white elephant gift. And I just happened to win a record (yes an old fashioned record) of Wham's Last Christmas, and I may have stole it from my new boss who also wanted it! *wink*

So my girlfriend and I go to this fancy little restaurant and enjoy ourselves a little too much, and I may have had one too many Mohitos, and then I may have begged my new boss to go to this 80s dance club, which he politely declined, and then I may have around midnight put the new record of Last Christmas on my friends record player and call up my brand new boss and sing at the top of my lungs:

"last Christmas, I gave you my heart, and the very next day, you gave it away, this year, to save me from tears I'll give it to someone special....." And on and on and on I went, singing almost the entire song on his voicemail.

Let's just say when Monday rolled around, I hung my head oh so low and I was just the tiniest bit scared of maybe losing my job.

But.... Lucky for me, my boss was very cool and we ended up becoming the best of friends, and our "wham" memory is our little inside joke that gets repeated almost every Christmas when I call his VM and leave him the same message of me singing 'Last Christmas' (by the way, he kept my original VM for almost an entire year on his phone to use as blackmail. LOL)

So I hope you enjoyed my (long) story and enjoy some of my favorite Christmas songs. I love, love, love the Mariah Carey song too- It is played at the end of Love Actually and is sung by that rockin little girl to her drummer boy- LOVE that movie!

So any of you have some funny Christmas party stories? I am dying to hear!

I Heart Me A Vampire!

For anyone who doesn't already know how much I heart the Twilight series, YES I THINK EDWARD IS MY HUSBAND! (and my 'real' husband doesn't even mind- he thinks I'm crazy- but he's ok with it! *wink*)

So if you are dying to know what I thought of New Moon- three words...

I LOVED IT!!!

I do have to tell you that I have been and always will be TEAM EDWARD (I heart me a Vampire!) And I may have went back in time to my 16 yr. old self and booed when all of the other tweens cheered when Jacob took his shirt off (ok, I admit, his abs were REALLY H.O.T!) and while half the theatre was swooning over Jacob, I got the other have to yell Team Edward :)

But hey, isn't that the point of going to a midnight premiere? I mean, when else can you sit in a theatre and cheer out loud, giggle with your herd of gal pals and say how hot and perfect Edward is for the 100th time?! If you do this while watching any other movie you get shushed by the geriatric crew- {hmmm, does this mean I am getting old? because I sometimes shush people} but not during a midnight premiere, it's accepted and expected! And this is 100% why I love it!!! Makes me feel like a kid again, and I can't wait to do a repeat performance on June 30th 2010 for Eclipse.

the countdown is on!!!

PS- I have to add that as much as I love Edward, I do think it's about time they laser, shave, wax -whatever they gotta do- to get rid of that chest hair! He's supposed to be like sparkling smooth marble, and I'm just not feeling it with the chest hair. Not that I have anything against chest hair (well, back fur is kinda scary) but Edward is not supposed to have any. Am I alone in thinking this?

Love at First Sound....

Music speaks to my soul... I don't even know what else to say except for I can not imagine a world without it. If all forms of entertainment (t.v., movies, books etc) were to vanish, I would be okay as long as music remained. And even that doesn't explain my deep love affair with the sweet sound of good tunes.

I love it all, Christian music, alternative, oldies, 80s, hip hop, country, jazz, you name it, I probably love it (well except for hard core rap and heavy metal). And my most favorite thing is to find absolutely fabulous bands that are not mainstream yet and pretend that I am their first and #1 fan.

I do this a lot by listening to tunes in t.v. shows and movies. Sometimes at a movie theatre if I hear a song that really captures the moment and I am dying through the whole movie to find out who sang it, I will wait the entire credits just to get the name of the artist so I can go purchase their tunes (did this with Garden State movie - one of the best soundtracks ever! and with The Devil Wears Prada- Azure Ray had a song in that movie that just floored me! and many, many more).

Anyway, my point to all of this is that I have a GREAT site for you to check out a few fabulous songs.

While watching the Hills, the City (yes, my guilty pleasures!) and So You Think You Can Dance, I hear snippets of songs that are aaaaamazing! MTV has a link on their site for you to check out the tunes you heard in any of their shows. And I have this fabulous little link for any music you may have heard on SYTYCD:

http://www.puresytycd.com/tag/so-you-think-you-can-dance-music/

It's a great site and it breaks down every song you heard, who danced to it and a link to itunes with the song.

Here are a few songs for your listening pleasure:

Check out Charlotte Martin- Darkest hour (single)- sorry I don't have a link to this song but it is on itunes. She is awesome, she sounds a little like Tori Amos I think. (Ariana did a solo dance to this on SYTYCD on Oct. 27th).

Last night I heard; your lover is dead by the band Stars. Loved the dance and the song, and when I went to itunes I bought another one of their songs that I thought was really good. It is also below. Enjoy!

Team Edward All The Way!

"About three things, I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a Vampire.

Second, there was a part of him- and I didn't know how dominant that part might be- that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with him."

Yes, folks this is me! (so Stephanie Meyers may have written the words first-but that is beside the point) ;) Edward thirst for my blood and I AM unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with him!

61 hours and 42 mins. until true BLISS!

See you at the premiere!

Oh Christmas Tree....

So I may just be a little to in to the Christmas spirit this year.

And I just may have already decorated my entire house with Christmas decorations, even the tree...

And my husband may be asking me to keep our blinds closed so that neighbors don't think we're crazy for decorating so early.

And my husband may be going to Seattle today to pick up my Christmas present that he is going to give to me early (table and chairs). :0)

I don't know why but this year, I just wanted Christmas to come early, and really it's only about three weeks early because I usually decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I love it. My house is so cozy and Christmas-e

Anyone else out there decorate early?
